Russian gas cuts threaten to shutter Germany industry - https://www.ft.com/content/07df3f2e-6991-4842-a047-41f2b6fb853d

Thoughts? Personally I'm just worried about the upcoming gas prices :s

No need for gas. Solar panels for electricity and you're all set.

A la guerre comme à la guerre. The Russians are invaders of course, but they behave logically

Russia cutting off gas before winter only shows weakness and desperation to get out of the war they caused. If Putin weren't desperate, he would use gas as a weapon in the winter that would be much more efficient. Europe will suffer this winter, it will be a hard winter but in the long run, it will be important for the governments to end the dependence on Russian gas in a few years, it just shows the shit that Putin got himself into.

Solar panels have very low efficiency. Yes, and in order for solar panels to give as much energy as one gas power plant, they must occupy several hectares. If not ten hectares

Okay, well, I'm talking about home installations.

Home settings may be an alternative. But solar panels are tricky things. They don't work all day. Bad weather greatly reduces efficiency (down to zero). Plus, for maximum efficiency, they must be strictly perpendicular to the rays of the sun. So the panels are not a complete salvation)

Well, what would you suggest then? I want a completely independent source of power.

Arc Reactor Tony Stark)))

But seriously, I'm not a power engineer. I was just interested in solar panels.

Well, I'm looking for a sustainable, independent source of power. I don't want to pay to get electricity from the power grid.
