I'd say python is a must, but you need background info about how thigns work

Least thing you gonna need in hacking is knowing 1 programming language, hacking actually requires deep knowledge about the system and it flaws you are trying to infiltrate, and knowing to use tools that is going to make the work way easier.
Putting those a side most prefered language for scripts is Python, probably.

Also, make sure to learn about how things work, that's more important than just programming language.
