Edit: The "hacking guide" isn't to do with taking over/securing gmail accounts, more so with "hacking" gmail through learning tricks, customizing its looks, functionality and anything that concerns this. It's about becoming a "power user" with regards to using gmail. I'd still say it's a nice book for the time it was published in, even though much of the "hacks" featured are present in today's gmail ux, and are common knowledge to anyone that has to deal with gmail.
