Python for me...
It is a very good language to begin with; It is easier to start learning programing with python than turning to C than the opposite !!
Then C++ for the performances if you need it...

There is no best language, just the best for this.
Right now many people use javascript, it allow you to build almost anything, with a lot of npm plugin and it works on mobile (capacitor-ionic), desktop with Electron and web.
