What is your opinion on preppers?

There are several youtube channels for example this:

They seem very informed and if civilization collapses they will prosper.

Not opposed to the idea of it though it does seem to attract the crazies.

I wanna be a prepper. Unfortunately, it appears I'm too lazy for that. Not prepared to go the mile and actually make a list of things and buy them.
At the same time, deep down I know that some cataclysm is coming, and i'll regret it

so true. turns out even  i'm not so nuts :D @HassaMassa

you just know she was lording it over her family after covid hit

Yeah man for sure, that's a good good example. I bet she was insufferable about it the entire time.

HassaMassa is right about the crazies, but to not be prepared is doing yourself and your loved ones a disservice. We're entering a period of massive change and disruption, lead by people who don't care about any of us. Be prepared in any way that you can.

Mostly paranoid crazy people who would probably actually be screwed in an apocalypse even if they do fully prepare. Lol

I started going a little EDC so Every Day Carry which is like prepping light. Its awesome.
Saved my ass like 6 times. I was at a lost place recently and a friend hurt himself pretty bad. Lucky I had everything then and there to bandage it and even built a tourniqet.
I guess its a bit like a mothers backpack and then a few. Gives you a bit more safety in such situations.

Other than that I don't think that prepping will help in any way. When the nukes fall, everything will gets pulverized. Nothing to live for.

No opinion, although I think that if things would go seriously to shit, I doubt many would survive.

Generally, best is to have some water and food in place. Some weapons. Don't go into extremes.

If you are rich, nuclear bunkers can be fun.

No reason to think that the apocalypse will be a nuclear war it could be somewhat else.
