We asked whether the bar was open and even went to check the sign downstairs - it says it is open daily until 3:00 am - it is not open daily. We were sad because we returned to the hotel early from our night out for a drink and just didn't have the heart to walk back to the center in the rain after we learned it was closed. As for breakfast, it is supposed to be opened until 11:00. We arrived at 10:20 and they started cleaning up the buffet at around 10:30. We barely sat down and got to eat. We felt very rushed. Another couple showed up a little later than us and no one seemed to care to help them. Upon check out, the staff member was not assisting anyone yet we were ignored. Another little note, there is no signage in the hotel. We spent so much time trying to figure out how to get to the pool, the funicular, the closed bar, and even exit at one point. It's not a big deal, but it's a big place and we felt silly trying to find our way everywhere. On the plus side, the rooms were very big and clean, beautiful views, we loved taking the funicular, and sitting on the balcony. We were worried about no air conditioner in August but the big doors let through a nice air flow and we slept really great. It was a beautiful stay but we will go elsewhere next time. There was not a single flaw. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking; the oven and stove work perfectly; a nice dining table for meals. The bed and sheets were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the bathtub has a jacuzzi (jets and bubbles) feature which was amazing after hiking; good towels, etc. There is a really nice fireplace stocked with wood with a comfy couch in front of it. Everything seems to be brand new yet it remained cozy. Breakfast in the morning was fresh, plentiful, and fulfilling. We came with our dog and even he seemed so relaxed and took advantage that he could hang out on the porch. Very close proximity to the trails, nature, restaurant, and even a little food stand all walking distance down the street. The host was very kind and has there upon arrival to explain to us the features. We felt very much at home and did not want to leave but we plan to return very soon! We requested to check in one hour earlier and we got a confirmation that this was okay. We arrived and no one was at the hotel, so we called and we were told we cannot check in until 14:00. This really could have been fine, but we were rudely spoken to and we could not even enter to set down our bags. We cancelled the hotel and called to let them know and it was best that we cancelled in the end - the lady continued to place blame and say they're never there before 14:00, as we explained that we were following the confirmation on the email. She hung up on us. We checked in immediately elsewhere with ease.
