I think I'll stick with my dog "Tommy". I wouldn't change him for the world.
But to play along with your question, I think a pet Eagle would be cool.

I know it's technically possible but I think it would be really unfair to the animal, but a fox would be cool, although I'm not sure I could deal with it's whining screech

I would definitely not be having one of them as a pet for sure, I'll stick to something easy like a fish.

Something small that does not need a lot of attention. I have not had many pets.
