Discussion on the upcoming recession

This was an interesting article, I am far from good when it comes to finance and economics, but I was curious on your thoughts on what will happen in the near future, because it doesn't look good at all. I mean at least I know that when you print a lot of money, a.k.a put a lot of money into the system (like the UK did and the US did with printing about $4.8 trillion), inflation follows  The pandemic and especially the war in Ukraine, are excuses for the recession we are getting in so they can cover up their mess. But would this global recession be the worst the world has yet seen?

Can't wait for the Third Recession in my lifetime. This unregulated free market capitalism thing really is a force for good no?

Inflation is also down to trade as well. The US at the moment has miles of convoys from Mexico trading goods that are being stopped at the border on purpose over ridiculous immigration checks, and UK leaving the EU, we've cut off ourselves from the worlds biggest trading bloc, so trade is being stuffed there too. Funnily enough the trading posts in the US are Red States, and Brexit was a Conservative push, so its to some degree political strategy to raise inflation on purpose, then come in before an election to drop it and thus win votes.

I don't know much about economics so I don't know how to process this, but the mention about retail sales dropping is interesting to me. I wish crypto would go back up. I sadly have a lot of savings in there. :^(

Oh, yeah,  MSN popped up while I was searching for something else, lol I haven't seen it in a while as well, it brings back memories :D

I really hope crypto goes back up so u don't lose your savings!

Haven't heard about the trading goods from Mexico, that's quite interesting. Thank you for sharing.

Of course there is a political strategy in all of this, inflation, as we all know, makes the lower classes poorer and it enriches the ones who have higher incomes.
